I truly believe God places certain people in our lives exactly when we need them most, and my birth doula Elisabeth was such a blessing to our family. As a first-time mom, I had so many fears and uncertainties, but she brought so much peace, comfort, encouragement, and support throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. During labor, she was truly an answered prayer. Her calm presence, encouragement, and servant’s heart helped me feel safe, empowered, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. She supported not only me, but my husband as well, and helped create such a peaceful atmosphere as we welcomed our baby into the world. You can truly see the love of Christ in the way she serves others. This is so much more than a job to her — it is clearly her calling. I will forever be grateful that God placed her in our lives during such a special season. If you are looking for a compassionate, faith-filled, and incredible doula, I cannot recommend her enough.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I knew having doula support would be essential. My husband and I began searching around 16 weeks and quickly connected with Golden Hour Doulas. From our first consultation to the final postpartum check-in, I always felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. They listened closely to our desires as a couple and to my needs as the birthing mother. They offered thoughtful insight, explaining various techniques and balancing western medical approaches with traditional wisdom. When it began to look like I might need an induction instead of the spontaneous labor I hoped for, they followed my lead and helped create an alternative plan, while also suggesting last-minute ways to encourage labor naturally. In the end, we were blessed with a spontaneous, intervention-free, natural labor and birth. My doula supported through every moment—guiding me through contractions, advocating for me in the delivery room, coaching me during pushing, and encouraging my husband as he supported me. I had the birth experience I dreamed of but never thought possible, largely because of the steady, compassionate care. I would absolutely use their services again. My only hesitation in recommending them is the fear they’ll be fully booked when I need them next time. They truly are the best.

As a first-time mom recovering from a C-section, I needed all the support I could get, and Elisabeth was an absolute blessing during those early weeks.

From our very first interaction, she was responsive, transparent, and professional — her communication was excellent and put me at ease right away. She had such a calm, nurturing presence that instantly made our home feel more peaceful. She worked wonders with my baby, soothing him in ways I didn’t even know were possible. As a new mom, watching her care for him was both comforting and educational. She also jumped in to help with household tasks that I simply didn’t have the time or energy for, which lifted such a huge weight off my shoulders.

The days she came were a huge help. She took away much of the overwhelm and stress that comes with postpartum recovery, letting me focus on healing and bonding with my son. I’m so grateful for her support and would recommend her to any new mom without hesitation.

We were very late in looking for a doula, and were extremely fortunate to find Elisabeth and her doula partner Rebekah to take us under their caring wings. At 36 weeks, they adjusted their intake/intro process for us, all while covering all their usual beats: giving us an overview of their services and hearing what support we were looking for. As an "older" first time mom, I was very nervous about the affects of pregnancy on my body and the storied pain of going through delivery. Elisabeth made me feel heard and reassured, and covered many approaches that could work for us, with no guilt when I could not find time to utilize some of the resources that had been initially presented before delivery day. Delivery ended up going better than expected for me, and I credit much of that to Elisabeth for walking me through options day-of, guiding me through various movement to move baby down while in labor, and knowing how and when to show support. One of my first thoughts post delivery was - I could do that again! We are so happy we found Elisabeth & Rebekah, they ensured we had a positive birth experience and we are truly grateful!

As Christians, we desired to hire someone that was willing to incorporate their faith into their work. We found Rebekah and immediately felt connected, not just because of her faith and her desire to serve us in this way, but also in personality. When we hired Rebekah, our pregnancy was considered low-risk. It eventually became high-risk and Rebekah worked with us as our delivery plans kept changing. Rebekah is extremely professional, but also incredibly thoughtful. She was super easy to contact and always got back to us in a reasonable amount of time. She provided my husband with tools to help him feel involved in my pregnancy, but also during labor & delivery. We ended up having an emergency c-section, so when my husband wasn't able to be in the OR with me, she was able to provide explanation on what was happening and coach my husband on ways to process what was happening. Even after she left the hospital, she kept in contact with us to ensure we were OK. Her experience and resources helped us throughout and after the whole prenatal, delivery, & postpartum process. We would recommend Rebekah to anyone that's thinking of hiring a doula.
